The Jackson Inventors Network (JIN) continues 2015 season, Tuesday, Feb. 24, with a special presentation from Ron Betzig, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Jackson College.
Why learn to “Pitch” my concept? Being able to persuasively explain your “invention” to someone else is important on a number of levels. One effective technique for developing this skill is known as “Customer Development” in which the inventor – in a mock exercise – tries to “sell” their product (or service) to a potential customer.
Why learn to “Catch” feedback? All too often, inventors don’t really listen to constructive feedback offered by others. This feedback is part of the Customer Development process, and is essential to successfully launching a product. An inventor can save a great deal of time, aggravation, and money by actively seeking and responding to input from prospective customers.
JIN will meet for the first time at Jackson Maker Space, 543 E. Washington Ave. Jackson, MI 49203. (Park in the rear!)
